“I don’t see him winning and don’t want to keep losing” – Cubana Chief Priest reveals why he left Peter Obi for Tinubu as he addresses his election loss (Video)

Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has finally revealed why he stan President Tinubu.

In a Live stream with TikToker Peller, he said Tinubu doesn’t fully trust him because he is an Igbo man and once worked for Peter Obi, so they feel he can betray him too.

Chief Priest revealed that he left Peter Obi because he didn’t want to keep losing, as the former Governor isn’t ready, and he doesn’t see him winning the next election.

He also spoke about his election loss, saying he will never give up, even if he loses again. CP noted that those trolling and mocking him aren’t financially buoyant, so he isn’t bothered by what poor men are saying.

“I’ll never give up, even if I lose again. All these people wey dey troll me for IG and Twitter. I checked their pages, and none of them has a G-Wagon. How will I be sat at what póor men are saying? Everybody dey call me, TVC dey call me, Channels dey call me, but you’re the only one I replied because I’m for the youths. I have a plan B, maybe God wants me to be the Governor”.

Kemi Filani reported that Cubana was vying for the APC’s ticket for Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat in the House of Representatives ahead of the 2027 general elections.

However, he lost to Canice More Nwachukwu, the incumbent for the constituency. Nwachukwu is serving his second term.

Speaking out, Chief Priest said he only got 14 votes in the primary. The socialite described himself as a hustler, hence why he doesn’t regret trying to contest for a position. However, his only regret was trusting the elders in the community, knowing how much he had given them.

The president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, had encouraged him to keep his head up, telling him that people sometimes lose a battle to find a new way to win the war. Seyi added that people know what he is capable of achieving.

Reacting to it, Chief Priest reposted his message on his Instagram story.

Chief Priest, who used to be a die-hard fan and supporter of Peter Obi, surprised many when he switched teams to President Tinubu.

He was appointed as Imo State director of City Boy Movement, CBM, the youth-focused support group for Tinubu’s re-election.
