A woman has sparked reactions online after publicly pleading with her estranged husband to sign divorce documents, claiming her immigration status in the United Kingdom could be affected if the process is delayed further.

The emotional incident surfaced in a viral video where the woman was seen repeatedly appealing to the man, insisting she had exhausted all efforts to settle the matter privately before deciding to beg publicly.

According to her, a misunderstanding in their marriage led her to request a divorce, but she later realised she had not yet secured her British citizenship before initiating the separation process.

She explained that failure to complete the required documentation could reportedly result in her deportation back to Nigeria.

My husband has refused to sign the divorce papers for me. If he does not sign them, the authorities will deport me back to Nigeria. I followed him around pleading, but he still refused to sign.”

Husband refuses to cooperate

The woman further stated that she was not trying to create drama but simply wanted her stay in the UK secured while both parties moved on peacefully.

“I am not here to cause any trouble or make a scene. I just want him to sign the papers so I can stay in the UK. I have begged and begged him, but there is nothing more I can do.”
