He is also a bank manager, a role in which he has gained extensive experience and earned respect because of his position.
“I have been a DJ for about 10 years. I trained myself, picked up skills here and there, and I do deejaying every Saturday. I also host private events together with a friend of mine. We mainly focus on events such as weddings,” he said.
Who inspired DJ 4oro to become an entertainer?
4oro explained that he was inspired to become a DJ by other DJs, as he always enjoyed listening to their mixes and entertaining music.
He did not hire an instructor or attend a DJ school. Instead, he maximised online resources, primarily using YouTube to learn the craft.
“When I started, it was not bringing in any money, but I never quit or gave up. I was doing it as a part-time gig, so it did not affect me much because I am also a banker,” he said.
When does DJ 4oro entertains guests?
4oro said he mainly works as a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, while from Monday to Friday he works at the bank, where he serves as a manager.

He has worked with Bank of America for 12 years and said he has helped many Kenyans open bank accounts after relocating to the US.
“If there is any Kenyan who is confused or undecided about which account to open, we will help and guide them. These days, I do not open accounts directly because I manage people at the bank, but I am always ready and willing to help. All you need is a passport and an ID card. You do not need a Social Security number or even a job to open an account with us,” he said.
Does music relieves stress?
However, 4oro highlighted the importance of having a source of income so that one can deposit money into the account and keep it active.
He noted that he became a DJ to help people relax and enjoy themselves after stressful workweeks.
“Music relieves stress. Some people work double shifts, and all they want is to relax and have a good time. That is what I do. I have a degree in Finance and Business Management because I wanted to work in the financial industry. Bank of America just happened to be one of the financial institutions where I ended up,” he added.
