Kidnappers Allegedly Kill Nigerian Pastor After Reported Ransom Delay

A Nigerian pastor identified as Akoh has reportedly been killed by suspected kidnappers who allegedly accused his family of delaying ransom payment.

The incident was disclosed by Abuja-based cleric, Bishop Peter Attayi Yakubu, in a Facebook post on Monday. According to him, Pastor Akoh was abducted and killed three days after his kidnapping.

Bishop Yakubu expressed deep sorrow over the development, describing the deceased as his former chief usher who later left to establish his own ministry.

“My heart is bleeding. Oh my son, Pastor Akoh. He was my chief usher… God asked him to go start his own ministry and he is doing well,” he wrote.

He further revealed that the late pastor had recently invited him to visit his church in September before the tragic incident occurred.

“How can kidnappers kill Pastor Akoh under three days with claim that ransom was delayed? Oh God, the wife is even breastfeeding a new baby,” the bishop added.
