With no clear solution in sight, despair began to grow among loved ones who feared they would not be able to give him a dignified burial.
In the midst of the crisis, a well-wisher identified as Sydney Tinega stepped in and offered the support that ultimately made the return of the body possible.
The family described his intervention as an act of compassion and humanity during one of the darkest moments they had ever faced.
“We thank God for giving us strength throughout this painful journey,” a family representative said. “We are also deeply grateful to Sydney for standing with us when we had almost lost hope.”
Residents praised the well-wisher for his kindness, saying his support restored hope to a grieving family that had exhausted all available options.
They also thanked other members for helping coordinate the complicated procedures in Dubai to ensure the repatriation process was completed successfully.

The late Ontiri is said to have travelled to Dubai in search of better opportunities abroad, joining thousands of Kenyan youths seeking employment in foreign countries.
However, following his death, the family alleged that his agent failed to assist them during the repatriation process, leaving them stranded and overwhelmed by the financial burden.
As preparations begin for Ontiri’s final send-off, the mood in Bomachoge Chache remains one of sorrow mixed with gratitude.
Residents say while the pain of losing him still lingers, his return home has at least given the family a chance to mourn and bury him with dignity among his people.
May the soul of Fraser Ogachi Ontiri rest in eternal peace.
