The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State has released the names of candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s House of Representatives primaries ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The state chairman of the party, Muhammed Sanni-Gambo, announced the successful candidates in a statement issued after the conclusion of the primary elections across the state.

According to the statement, Abdulrahman Badamasui secured the party’s ticket for the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency, while Abdulkadir Ibrahim emerged as the candidate for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.

Muhammed Etudaiye was declared winner of the Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency primary, while Mohammed Idris Lawal clinched the ticket for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.

The party also announced Okolo Ikani Benjamin as the candidate for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, with Femi Victor Olubiyo emerging for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

For the Yagba Federal Constituency, Ibigbemi Sesan Samuel secured the PDP ticket.

Sanni-Gambo, however, disclosed that the results for the Ankpa and Idah Federal Constituencies were yet to be released.

The party chairman said the primaries were conducted peacefully and urged party members to unite behind the candidates ahead of the general elections.
