The All Progressives Congress in Lagos State has named Damilola Sonayon-James as its deputy governorship candidate ahead of the forthcoming election.
She will run alongside the party’s governorship candidate, Obafemi Hamzat, as the APC intensifies preparations to retain control of the state.
Party sources say the decision followed internal consultations and is aimed at strengthening the party’s campaign structure across Lagos.
The Hamzat–Sonayon-James ticket is expected to be formally unveiled in the coming days as political activities gather pace.
