Prince Henry Odianosen Okojie, husband of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Esan North-East/South-East Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Okojie clinched the party’s ticket during the APC primary election in Edo State, paving the way for his second-term bid in the National Assembly.
Following his victory, he expressed appreciation to party leaders, supporters, and constituents for their backing throughout the process.
He also thanked the Governor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the leadership of the APC for the confidence placed in him to represent the party.
In his statement, Okojie described his victory as a collective achievement rather than a personal one, stressing unity and shared purpose within the constituency.
He said:
> “Today, I am deeply humbled and honored to emerge victorious in the APC primary election.”
He further noted that the mandate reflects the trust of his constituents and reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful leadership and effective representation.
Okojie added that his focus would remain on unity, progress, and strengthening development initiatives across the constituency, while calling on party members to remain focused ahead of the general election.
The development positions him for a renewed campaign as the APC continues preparations for the 2027 elections.
