Newton Isokpehi said he has served in the Nigerian Police Force for 26 years in this place where they are suffering. He said they endure hardship every single day. He stated that if anyone is bold enough, they should bring a camera and record him wherever he is. He added that if they do not do it properly, he will kill everyone on the bus and everyone around. He swore that if he did not do it, he should die.
He pointed to a gunshot wound on his arm and said he was not born with it. He said police officers are simply doing their job. He also spoke about families whose fathers died in service many years ago and have still not received their insurance and benefits.
He said, “My whole body is covered with bullet wounds and gunshot scars. Yet I’m still suffering.”
