Ned Nwoko: He Wanted An Automatic Ticket, It’s A Lazy Man’s Way Of Doing Things —Sochukwudinma Says

Norbert Sochukwudinma, the APC chairman of all local government area chairmen in Delta State, has heavily criticized Senator Ned Nwoko following his recent defeat in the party’s primary elections. The grassroots leader claimed that the federal lawmaker’s failure was self-inflicted rather than a result of systemic manipulation from the top.…....

According to a video posted on the Official YouTube channel of TVC News on Thursday May 21, 2026, while discussing the internal crisis rocking the ruling party ahead of the next general elections, he stated, “Ned Nwoko was interested in an automatic ticket and did not want anyone to contest against him, wanting the party leadership to simply issue a statement and hand it to him.”

The APC chieftain explained that the lawmaker completely bypassed critical party structures after announcing his interest to seek re-election via social media. Sochukwudinma noted that Nwoko failed to consult the nine local government chairmen and ninety-eight ward executives across Delta North, expecting to receive an automatic ticket without any local mobilization.

In contrast, Sochukwudinma praised the humble approach of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, who painstakingly toured every local government area to canvas for votes. He emphasized that primary elections are strictly decided by card-carrying party members, making Nwoko’s indifferent and nonchalant attitude a guaranteed recipe for a total disaster at the internal polls.

In his concluding remarks, Sochukwudinma dismissed any insinuations that the party leadership or the presidency unduly interfered with the process. He maintained that the APC provides a level playing field for every aspirant, and those who choose to ignore the grassroots organizers will always feel the heavy impact when internal democratic elections arrive.
