“Nobody Told Me How To Invest”- Phyna Reveals How BBNaija Money Allegedly Finished After Helping Family

Reality TV star and former Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has sparked conversations online after opening up about how poor financial decisions allegedly contributed to her current struggles.

Speaking emotionally, Phyna admitted that after leaving the Big Brother Naija house, she did not properly manage or invest the money she earned from the show.

According to her, she spent most of the money helping family members and sharing with people around her without thinking long-term.

She said:

“When I came out of Big Brother house, nobody told me how to invest the money, I was sharing it, helping family, that was the beginning of my problem.”

Her statement quickly generated reactions online, with many Nigerians sharing different opinions about accountability, family pressure, and celebrity lifestyle choices.

Some social media users sympathized with her situation, while others criticized her for allegedly spending heavily on cosmetic surgery instead of investing.

Reacting to the video, @Mytwistyx wrote:

“Na all of us dey depressed for Naija.”

Another user, @StephGarnet22, questioned her priorities, saying:

“No be same you do BBL abi that time you never still get sense to invest?”

@everytin_bec, however, defended her partly by pointing to family pressure and financial expectations.

“If your family knows that you have more money combined to how much they have, you are closer to poverty than making wealth especially when you come from poverty.”

Another user, @kacrypt, advised her to monetize her fanbase instead of seeking sympathy online.

“Twitter dey pay, Facebook dey pay, snap dey pay, YouTube dey pay… Madam convert your fans to money.”

The conversation also reignited debates around financial literacy for reality TV stars and entertainers who suddenly become wealthy after fame.
