Peter Obi Is a Talk-and-Do Leader, His Record as Governor Proves It — Yunusa Tanko

Peter Obi’s reputation as a leader who fulfills his promises has once again been highlighted by the National Coordinator of the Obidient Movement, Yunusa Tanko, who described the former Anambra State governor as a “talk-and-do leader.”

Speaking on Obi’s commitment to accountability, Tanko said the Labour Party presidential candidate has consistently demonstrated a willingness to be held responsible for his promises, citing his record in public office as evidence.

According to Tanko, Obi’s pledge to serve only a single four-year term if elected president was not merely a campaign statement but a commitment that was publicly affirmed within the party structure.

He explained that the promise was documented during the party’s affirmation process and was accompanied by a resolution outlining zoning arrangements after the completion of the proposed tenure.

“Peter Obi is different because he doesn’t just make promises; he keeps them and wants Nigerians to hold him accountable. His record as governor reflects that commitment,” Tanko said.

The Obidient Movement coordinator argued that Obi’s approach to leadership is built on trust, transparency, and accountability, qualities he said have endeared him to many Nigerians seeking a new style of governance.

Tanko maintained that Obi’s consistency between his words and actions distinguishes him from many politicians and reinforces public confidence in his leadership aspirations.
