Reactions as Don Jazzy mulls searching for wife outside Nigeria + Video

Nigerian music mogul and Mavin Records boss, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, has sparked reactions online after he joked that his search for a life partner may now extend beyond Nigeria.

The 43-year-old music executive made the remark during a playful interaction with fans on Instagram after a follower described him as an “African treasure” who no longer belongs to Nigerians alone.

The fan wrote, “Don Jazzy at this point is an African treasure. Yes, he belongs to all of us now, not just you Nigerians.”

Responding to the comment, Don Jazzy agreed that he often feels connected to different African countries, including Ghana, South Africa and Uganda.

“You are actually not wrong. Sometimes, I feel like I’m Ghanaian, sometimes South African. Sometimes I feel like I’m Ugandan even though I haven’t been to Uganda, and I hear it’s hot there,” he said.

The legendary music producer then shifted the conversation to his love life, joking that his inability to find a wife in Nigeria could push him toward East Africa.

“I heard that the babes there are nice. If you are from Uganda and you are a babe, do you girls like me there? Maybe I should come to Uganda since I did not find a wife in Nigeria. Maybe I should go and find a wife in Uganda or Tanzania,” he added.

The post immediately generated reactions across social media, with fans from Uganda, Tanzania and other African countries flooding his comment section with playful responses.

Don Jazzy has long been one of Nigeria’s most eligible bachelors, frequently sharing playful updates regarding his single status and his desire to settle down.

He was briefly married in his early 20s to UK-based model Michelle Jackson but divorced due to his intense focus on his early music career.

His personal life has remained one of the most discussed topics among fans, especially regarding his decision not to remarry.
