Social media users have taken to their official X account on Thursday, May 21, 2026 to react to the statement that was made by the former Local Govenment Chairman of Obio-Akpor, Chijioke Ihunwo after Siminalayi Fubara withdrew from the APC governorship primary election.
This came after Channels TV reported that the governor of Rivers state has withdraw from the election and also promised to support any candidate who emerges as the winner.
In the post that Chijioke Ihunwo made on his official X account, he backed the decision of the Rivers state governor to withdraw from the election. The former chairman of Obio-Akpor LGA said he will also support anybody who emerges as the APC governorship candidate.
According to Chijioke Ihunwo on his official X account;
