Speaking in an interview with PUNCH on Saturday, May 16, 2026, Owoeye said her parents, Mr. and Dr. Owoeye, both staff of Covenant University, played a key role in her preparation.
She noted that her mother, a recently completed PhD holder and academic researcher, and her father, an administrator at the institution, provided continuous encouragement throughout her studies.
According to her, they regularly prayed with her, offered motivation, and ensured she remained focused during her preparation period, which she described as instrumental to her performance in the examination.
She said,
“My parents are Mr Owoeye and Dr Owoeye. My mother recently completed her PhD and works as an academic researcher at Covenant University, while my father is an administrator, also at Covenant University. They were very supportive throughout my UTME preparation.”
