Saidu Musa Abdullahi Becomes Consensus Candidate for Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency

All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency have adopted Saidu Musa Abdullahi as their consensus candidate for the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general elections.

The decision followed a stakeholders meeting held at the Government House in Minna, under the leadership of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.

The Farmer Governor appealed to the stakeholders to allow the incumbent member to go for another term, after which it will move to Gbako and then Katcha, respectively.

He noted that Musa Abdullahi, if allowed for the another term, would stand a better chance to attract more dividends of democracy to the constituency.

The Farmer Governor assured the Aspirants who stepped down for the incumbent that they would not regret their decision.

He disclosed that discussions are still ongoing to arrive at more consensus candidates ahead of the party primaries that will commence on 16 May 2026.

Those who aspired for the Bida/Gbako/Katcha Federal Constituency along with the Incumbent, and agreed to step down were Isah Yahaya, Abubakar Baba Chegungi, Mohammed Yakubu Esheti, and Abdulsalam Madaki.

Some of them who spoke to Journalists explained that their decision were borne out of respect for the Farmer Governor and other Stakeholders as well as for the promotion of peace.

They agreed to give their maximum support to ensure the success of the incumbent in the general elections.
