Soludo visits 13-year-old HIV patient with relief materials

The Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has visited a 13-year-old girl receiving treatment for Advanced HIV disease at a hospital in Awka, the state capital.

Soludo, also the Founder of Healthy Living initiative, donated relief materials and financial support to aid the patient’s recovery.

She said the visit formed part of the organisation’s commitment to supporting vulnerable persons in communities across the state.

According to her, the initiative has donated essential supplies to support the girl’s nutrition and daily upkeep, alongside financial assistance to ease her treatment and recovery process.

She said: “No child should face such a difficult health battle without support.

“We remain dedicated to showing up for those who need us most.”

Soludo also commended the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) for drawing her attention to the case.

She stressed the need for collective efforts in building healthier and stronger communities, through compassion and support for vulnerable groups.

Also speaking, Dr. Nkem Okeke, Executive Director and Project Manager of ANSACA, appreciated the governor’s wife for her prompt response and support toward the young patient’s treatment and welfare.
