A Lagos High Court has reportedly ordered Canadian-based Nigerian singer and model, Stephanie Otobo, to pay the sum of ₦100 million in damages for alleged defamation against the founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
The legal battle between both parties dates back to 2017, when Stephanie Otobo publicly made a series of allegations against Apostle Suleman, claiming a personal relationship and other misconduct allegations.
In response, Apostle Suleman denied the claims and initiated a defamation suit, seeking substantial damages for what he described as a damage to his reputation and ministry image.
Since then, the case has been characterized by multiple court appearances, counterclaims, and legal filings in Lagos courts, drawing significant public attention both within and outside Nigeria.
According to recent reports circulating online, the Lagos High Court has now ruled in favor of Apostle Suleman and awarded ₦100 million in damages against Stephanie Otobo for defamation.
