Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle names squad for Unity Cup


 

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has named a 26-man squad for Nigeria’s participation in the upcoming Unity Cup and next month’s international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.

 

The Unity Cup is a four-nation international football invitational tournament held in London, England.

The 2026 Unity Cup is scheduled to take place from May 26 to May 30, 2026, at The Valley Stadium (home of Charlton Athletic FC) in London, United Kingdom.

 

Nigeria will play Zimbabwe on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, while India will face Jamaica on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

 

The winners will advance to the final.

 

In the squad list, Chelle called up Wrexham goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, who recently switched allegiance to the Super Eagles from England.
