A Nigerian lady has recounted how $500 was deposited to her account with a strange payment description, sparking reactions online.
In a post on her X account, @Toniatuslim disclosed that the incident, which unfolded last year, involved a stranger depositing $500 to her account daily.

However, she remained silent, noting the transaction reference read, ‘For keeping my secret’
”I had no idea who it was, but the money was changing my life, so I never questioned it. I just kept quiet and enjoyed the cash“, She added.
As expected, the money was deposited into her account, but the transaction reference changed to, “They found evidence. Why did you talk?”
However, this made her realize the foreign currency wasn’t intended for her.
Furthermore, she sought clarity on reporting to security operatives or pretending she never received the transfers.
