Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, on Thursday hosted Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for the official flag-off of the distribution of 100 trucks of rice and ₦1.2 billion worth of palliatives to vulnerable households across the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The event, which took place in Kaduna, was organised in collaboration with the Muslim Intellectuals Forum and the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Political and Other Matters.
Governor Uba Sani described the occasion as “a profound affirmation of compassion translated into action.”
He expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his “purposeful and steady leadership” and commended the Renewed Hope Agenda for steadily improving lives and restoring confidence in the country.
The Governor also praised the First Lady’s commitment to humane and inclusive interventions, noting that her initiatives touch lives and restore dignity across religious, ethnic, and social divides.
He thanked the First Lady for recognising the newly commissioned Brigadier Abba Kyari Banquet Hall as a space dedicated to dialogue and development.
Governor Uba Sani further acknowledged the role of religious leaders in promoting peace and social cohesion, and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies that uplift the people and advance inclusive development in Kaduna State.
The palliatives are expected to provide immediate relief to vulnerable families across the North.
