During the confrontation, the student who had the laptop reportedly claimed that she bought it from another female student identified as Sophia, who is now being accused of the theft. This revelation quickly escalated the situation as the aggrieved roommate went to confront Sophia.
However, Sophia allegedly denied any knowledge of the transaction or the person who claimed to have bought the laptop. This denial created further tension, especially after the alleged buyer insisted that she had purchased the device from Sophia and even presented a transaction receipt said to contain identifying details.
Despite the evidence presented, Sophia reportedly continued to deny involvement, which angered the crowd that had gathered around the scene. The situation quickly escalated into chaos as some residents allegedly took the law into their own hands.
