Interior designer and ex-wife of Ayo Makun, Mabel Makun, has shared a cryptic post.
While sharing new photos of herself on her Instagram page, she said she is living her life with ease, no rush, and no stress. Mabel stressed that it is just her.
“Living life easy, no rush, and no stress, just me”.
This post comes days after she reunited with her ex, Ayo Makun, at their daughter’s preschool graduation. Mabel shared photos of herself and her daughter at her graduation ceremony, expressing pride in her.
Following the burial of the late Alex Ekubo, Mabel, who was close to him, broke her silence about her withdrawal, revealing that the late actor had always advised her to be silent. According to her, she has so much to say, but she doesn’t know where to start, hence the silence and withdrawal.
Earlier this year, the former couple had reunited at their second daughter’s school to celebrate her birthday. AY shared a video of himself in school for his daughter’s birthday. Surprisingly, his ex-wife, Mabel, was there, and for the first time since their separation, AY included her in his video.
Recall that in April, 2023, AY confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel, expressing regrets for losing his home, and also admitted to doing things that were compromising during the marriage. He warned against projecting the wrong narrative about him and his family, which he found harmful to his teenage daughter, and hinted at the possible fault from his wife.
Mabel also broke her silence, stating that her dreams of a lifelong marriage had now taken a different direction and pleaded with the media and public to give them privacy as they navigate their new phase. She noted how many lies have been peddled against her, but she will honour her kids by not addressing them.
Blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus alleged that Mabel had denied AY all access to his second daughter, Ayomide which the comedian confirmed in his birthday message to her.
Mabel has since moved on and was spotted attending an event with her new boo. The interior designer, in a video was seen on a boat cruise with her rumored boyfriend, and elsewhere on the clip, they were seen holding hands.
Last year, AY reacted to rumours of a reconciliation with Mabel, denying them. He described such rumours as false, incessant and insensitive. The famous comedian promised to take legal action against individuals who publish, promote, or circulate those defamatory stories.
