Nollywood actress Jayeola Monje, otherwise known as Jaiye Kuti, and Fuji singer Pasuma have left tongues wagging with a video of them.

The close friends had attended the premiere of their joint movie, The Anniversary, and were captured in a video making rounds, sharing a sweet moment.

While speaking with BBC Yoruba, Jaiye Kuti addressed her relationship with Pasuma, stating that she doesn’t have a relationship with him because she is happily married with kids. Jaiye said there is nothing between her and Pasuma, as what existed between them is mutual friendship, and the photos were taken from the internet.

In 2022, the Yoruba star rejoiced as she became a grandmother. She shared her testimony of how she and her family fervently prayed for the baby.

A year ago, the heavily endowed thespian had confronted her colleague, Jigan Babaoja, after he grabbed her backside during a dance rehearsal on a movie set. Jayeola, who wasn’t pleased with his act, openly confronted him, and things took a sudden turn as the two actors exchanged blows, while their colleagues tried separating them.

Previously, Jayeola had publicly called out Jigan, while sharing a video of her publicly embarrassing the actor at an event after they got into a heated argument. She sent a message to Adeniyi Johnson, Seyi Edun, and Bimbo Oshin, urging them to warn Jigan seriously.

In different news, Jaiye spoke on the alarming rate at which our colleagues are becoming content creators and dancers to promote their movies. She recalled breaking into tears when she saw Odunlade Adekola dancing to promote a movie, noting that she also had to join the bandwagon. Describing such tactics as tiring and emotionally draining, she expressed how badly she feels for herself and her colleagues.

The Yoruba star had decried the alarming rate at which veteran actors cry on social media for help. She stated that these actions were damaging the image of the Yoruba movie industry, as she noted that many of them did not plan for their future and spent their youthful earnings on shortlived pleasures.
