Tributes and accolades have been pouring in for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as he marks his third year in office.
Expectedly, there have also been hard and subtle criticism. Yet, against all odds, some watchers of the society and discerning minds, including professionals in various walks of life, have decidedly rated his government high.
A group of prominent young professionals under the aegis of Young Professionals For Tinubu (YP4T), have joined the fray, not to join issues on the actions and inactions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s government, but to highlight some of the government’s significant contributions to the lives and empowerment of the Nigeria youth.
According to a statement by the National Coordinator of YP4T, Alex Oware, there is now a refreshing breath of air and hope billowing through the nation in the three years of this present government.
“We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for recognising the immense potentials for greatness and of course, the energy inherent in the average Nigerian youth. He has wisely chosen a most veritable tool to help chanel the brimming energy of our youth positively, by engaging and empowering them through sports.
“In the last three years, our male and female athletes, in athletics, basketball, football, wrestling, weightlifting, as well as, other sports, have proudly represented the country with podium appearances.
“And in tandem with his avowed renewed hope agenda, these young Nigerians sees hope for a better life through sports, because now, they are getting due and bountiful rewards. Their hopes for better lives is renewed and assured by this government,” he remarked.
Alex Oware’s led YP4T, has in recent times been receiving rave reviews and accolades for its several life-changing projects that include education, health, sports, skills acquisition, mentorship and social reorientation programmes spread across different parts of the country.
“As a non-governmental organisation of young professionals from different walks of life, we have a positive and people oriented mindset, as we acknowledge the fact that government needs the supports of individuals and organisations, towards building a safe, peaceful and prosperous society.
“Therefore, while we’re commending President Bola Tinubu, for his numerous feats and achievements in the his three years in office, we want to charge him not to relent in his drive to make Nigeria a political and socio-economically better and stronger nation.
“YP4T assures him of our continued and unalloyed support. As we equally pray that God continue to bless him with more wisdom, strength, energy, good health and a longer life, for the betterment of Nigeria,” he prayed.
