Emmanuel Obasi, the ex-husband of Judy Austin, has replied Yul Edochie over custody battle of his kids.
Earlier in the day, Yul released a statement on X denying claims that he was not allowing Obasi access to his children with Judy.
“Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘pls allow him to see his children.
I have never stopped anybody from seeing their children.
In this era of social media, people prefer chasing clout and chasing social media money with my name, rather than doing the right thing.
Tell him to call his ex-wife if he wants to see or take his children; let them discuss it.
He has her number.
It has nothing to do with me”.
Responding to him, Obasi, via his Facebook page, said if Yul is indeed the head of his home, he should help bridge the gap between him and his children.
He noted how he reached out and warned, but was ignored. Mr Obasi claimed that Judy has blocked all channels of communication with him.
“Chief Yul Edochie, one thing is for sure: Edochie is a big name beyond Igbo land, no doubt, but you can not beat a child and ask him not to cry.
My aim is not to ridicule anyone. I reached out and warned, but was ignored.
She blocked all my access to her.
My kids are now adults; let her tell them the truth and allow them to reach out to me. Chief Yul Edochie, if truly you are in charge as head of the house, help in building that bridge”.
A few days ago, Obasi, appeared on a podcast on June 15, alleging that he and Judy were previously married and had two children together before their relationship ended. Among his claims was that Judy had openly admired Yul Edochie during their marriage, that she met the actor while still living under his roof, and that she has since denied him access to their children.
Speaking out, she insisted that Yul Edochie “has done nothing wrong,” and said she met the actor three years after her marriage had already ended. Threatening legal action against Obasi, she came for those dragging Yul, saying he has been taking care of her kids with her ex.
Recall that in 2022, Mr Obasi revealed that he married Judy at age 19, and they welcomed two beautiful children. He disclosed that he had spent heavily on Judy so she could have a degree, yet she abandoned him for Yul, whom she started dating in 2012 while still married to him.
He further claimed that Judy packed up and left their house with the kids after he refused to buy her a house in Enugu. Though he reported the incident to her parents, they made no budge, and Judy has since cut him off from their kids.
In 2024, Obasi, claimed that Yul was sleeping with Judy while she was under his roof, and moved in with him to her family’s house. Obasi revealed that Judy’s family openly accepted the actor even though she was still married to him.
In another video, Obasi cried out to Nigerians for help with custody of his kids. He claimed he hadn’t seen his kids in over 10 years and that the actress was frustrating his life with them because she knew he loved them. He further claimed that Judy had abandoned the kids to focus on her children with Yul, which has left him worried about their well-being and upbringing.
