Tragedy in Anambra: 23-Year-Old Nursing Student Found Dead in Her Apartment

A 23-year-old nursing student of the College of Nursing Sciences, Alor, in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, has been found dead in her off-campus apartment in Uruezeani, Alor.

The deceased, identified as Chiamaka Chilaka, was an ND II student of the institution and hailed from Isingu in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to available reports, Chiamaka was discovered lifeless in her apartment on Sunday after she failed to show signs of activity following her return from a church service. Concerned neighbours were said to have raised alarm, leading to the shocking discovery of her body inside the room.

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the incident and has since launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding her death.

Security operatives who visited the scene reportedly observed signs that have raised suspicion, prompting authorities to treat the case as a possible unnatural death pending autopsy results and further forensic analysis.

The matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Awka, for a more detailed probe.
