Renowned Nigerian businessman and philanthropist, Chief (Sir) Michael Ade-Ojo, has turned 88, drawing tributes from across the country in celebration of his enduring legacy in business and education.
Ade-Ojo, founder of Elizade Motors and Elizade University, was born on June 14, 1938, in Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State.
Widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most respected entrepreneurs, Ade-Ojo built a formidable business empire in the automobile industry and played a pivotal role in establishing Toyota as a dominant brand in Nigeria.
Beyond business, the elder statesman is celebrated for his contributions to education and human capital development, particularly through the establishment of Elizade University, which has become a notable private institution in the country.
