Arewa Youth Leader Calls For VeryDarkMan’s Arrest, Warns Against Abuja Protest

An Arewa youth leader has called for the arrest of popular social media activist, VeryDarkMan, while warning him against staging any protest in Abuja or any part of Northern Nigeria.

In a video message directed at VeryDarkMan and his alleged sponsors, the youth leader accused him of disrespecting Northerners and creating tension with his planned protest.

He claimed that VeryDarkMan had previously insulted the North by describing Northerners as uneducated, insisting that such remarks would not be tolerated in the region.

The Arewa youth leader further urged VeryDarkMan to move his protest to Edo State, arguing that there are also security challenges in his home state that require attention.

He also said security agencies in the North were already recording progress in tackling insecurity and accused VeryDarkMan of attempting to create distraction and confusion.

The statement has since stirred reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the right to peaceful protest, freedom of expression, and the rising insecurity across the country.
