Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has shared the voice note that the late actor, Alex Ekubo, recorded before his passing.
Kemi Filani reported on Thursday, June 18th, the actor was finally laid to rest amidst tears. The likes of IK Ogbonna, Mike Godson, Omoni Oboli, Ini Edo, KCee and E-Money, Cubana Chief Priest, Bimbo Ademoye, Kunle Remi and his wife, Ayo Makun, Yomi Casual, Nancy Isime, Funny Bone, Pretty Mike, and a tone of others had attended the emotional event.
The comedian made it known that he wasn’t sharing it for sympathy but for reflection. According to him, in a world where so many people are silently fighting battles, his words serve as a reminder to hold on a little longer, stay strong and never give up.
AY noted how life will test all of us, and there will be moments when the journey feels unfair, lonely and overwhelming, but as long as there is breath, there is hope.
“Yesterday, we laid @alexxekubo to rest in his hometown.
Today, I want to share one of the messages he recorded before his passing… not for sympathy, but for reflection.
In a world where so many people are silently fighting battles, his words serve as a reminder to hold on a little longer, stay strong a little longer, and never give up.
Life will test all of us. There will be moments when the journey feels unfair, lonely, and overwhelming. But as long as there is breath, there is hope. As long as there is hope, there is another opportunity for a better tomorrow.
As you watch this video, don’t just see it as a recording. See it as a message from someone who wanted others to keep moving forward, no matter the circumstances.
May his words continue to inspire, encourage, and strengthen everyone who comes across them.
Rest on, my brother. Your voice may be gone, but your message lives on”.
