BREAKING: Boko Haram Attack Kills 8 Soldiers in Deadly Assault on Buratai Road Axis, Borno State

At least eight Nigerian soldiers have been killed following a deadly pre-dawn attack allegedly carried out by Boko Haram terrorists on a military position along the Buratai Road axis in Borno State.

Security sources and preliminary reports indicate that the terrorists launched a coordinated assault in the early hours of the morning, engaging troops in a fierce gun battle before overruning parts of the military position.

The attack reportedly left at least eight soldiers dead, while some of the fallen troops were said to have been brutally mutilated by the assailants, according to emerging accounts from the scene.

The extremist group Boko Haram has been linked to several deadly attacks across Nigeria’s North-East region over the years, particularly in Borno State, which has remained a major hotspot in the ongoing insurgency.
