BREAKING: Nigerian Army Storms Dambatta Village At 10:30pm, Apprehends Suspect Without Resistance

According to a report by Daily Post on Monday, June 23, 2026, Troops of the 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have arrested a suspected terrorist during a night operation in Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano State.

Security sources disclosed that the raid was conducted following credible intelligence indicating the presence of suspicious activities in Konan Dumawa village.

The operation, carried out at about 10:30 p.m. on June 21, saw troops storm the community, where the suspect was apprehended without resistance.

According to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who shared details of the operation on X, the troops also recovered a cache of weapons and other items believed to be linked to criminal activity.

The recovered items include one Dane gun, a locally fabricated pistol, a homemade revolver-type weapon, four cartridges, three knives, two mobile phones, two scissors, an identity card, a locally made charm, and two ATM cards.

The suspect is currently in military custody and is undergoing further interrogation as investigations continue to determine possible links to wider criminal networks.

Military authorities said the operation forms part of sustained efforts to flush out criminal elements and prevent terrorist infiltration in Kano State and surrounding communities.

They added that intelligence-driven raids have remained central to ongoing security operations aimed at restoring peace and strengthening public safety across the region.

The Army further reiterated its commitment to maintaining pressure on criminal groups, noting that similar operations would continue in identified hotspots to disrupt threats before they escalate.

Residents were also encouraged to support security agencies by providing timely information that could assist in preventing attacks and aiding rapid response operations.

Authorities assured that all arrested suspects will be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted in accordance with the law, as security forces intensify coordinated efforts to maintain stability across northern Nigeria.
