Tension is rising in Ogbomoso following the abduction of 46 pupils and their teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, as angry youths have threatened to embark on mass protests if the victims are not rescued before the end of the week.
The youths reportedly stormed the palace in Ogbomoso to express their frustration over the worsening security situation.
In a video circulating on social media, a leader of the delegation warned that residents would block all major roads linking Ogbomoso to neighbouring towns if authorities fail to secure the release of the abducted teachers and pupils....... .
