The Central Bank of Nigeria has reassigned all four of its deputy governors in a move aimed at strengthening coordination across key departments of the apex bank.

The changes, which took effect on June 1, 2026, were reflected on the bank’s official website on Monday.

Under the new arrangement, Philip Ikeazor has been redeployed to head the Policy Directorate, taking over from Muhammad Abdullahi, who now oversees the Corporate Services Directorate.

Similarly, Emem Usoro has been moved from Corporate Services to the Operations Directorate, while Lamido Yuguda has been reassigned from Operations to the Financial System Stability Directorate.

The central bank said the redeployments are part of efforts to optimise the expertise of its senior leadership and align responsibilities with its evolving institutional priorities.

According to the CBN, the exercise is expected to enhance operational efficiency and improve coordination across strategic functions of the bank.

The latest shake-up comes amid ongoing reforms within the apex bank as it seeks to strengthen monetary policy implementation, financial system stability, and overall economic management.
