Chilling CCTV footage captured the terrifying moment seven panga-wielding men confronted and attacked a man and his girlfriend at 2 am.

The clip quickly made rounds online, prompting police in Uganda to launch investigations due to its disturbing nature.
The incident occurred in Kigwanya Zone, Nabbingo Parish, Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District, on June 15 while the victims were reportedly heading home from work.
On their way, they were ambushed by a group of about seven men armed with pangas.

Immediately, the woman screamed and attempted to run away, but she was pursued by the criminals, who robbed her of all the belongings she was carrying.
Her boyfriend, on the other hand, was not only robbed but was also beaten, slapped and severely hacked with pangas.
CCTV captures 7 men robbing a couple at 2 am
The CCTV footage captured him pleading with the suspects, but they showed no mercy. They took everything he had and left him with serious injuries.
He screamed for help as dogs in a nearby compound barked loudly and paced around. Eventually, the attackers allowed him to run away.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Rachael Kawala acknowledged the viral video, noting that investigators had taken up the matter and were actively pursuing leads.
“Our attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media depicting a group of men assaulting an individual using pangas. Police at Nsangi have taken up the matter, and investigations are actively underway,” she stated.

According to preliminary police findings, the couple were heading to their residence in Kigwanya Zone when they encountered the attackers.
Moreover, the suspects, estimated to be about seven men and armed with pangas, fled the scene and had not yet been arrested.
“Our task team is making every effort to identify, trace and apprehend the suspects so they can be brought to justice,” said Kawala.
The incident has sparked concern among residents following the circulation of the video on social media.
Nonetheless, police had not yet disclosed the victim’s condition or the value of the property stolen during the attack.
