An incident that has sparked mixed reactions occurred in Lagos after a 23-year-old woman was allegedly apprehended and assaulted by a group of residents over accusations of stealing an iPhone 14.
According to eyewitness and The Trending Video, the young woman was first confronted by a group of acquaintances who suspected her involvement in the disappearance of the device. She reportedly denied any knowledge of the theft when questioned. However, the situation escalated when her personal belongings were searched, and the missing iPhone was allegedly discovered inside her bag.
Following the discovery, tensions reportedly rose sharply. Eyewitnesses said the woman immediately began pleading for mercy, insisting she was not aware of how the phone got into her possession. Despite her pleas, she was allegedly subjected to physical assault by the angry crowd.
