Lagos State government has made bold its promise to ensure enforcement is carried out on illegal occupies of shanties and traders on the median strip along the Badagry expressway.

TVCNEWS senior Correspondent reports that it was men under authority that set out Monday morning fully ready for the task ahead.

On getting to Alabarago, some of heads of the different Enforcement team made up officers of Rapid response squad, Lagos State Taskforce, Eko Strike Force, kick against indiscipline and the Lagos Waste Management Authority and others addressed them before dividing themselves into different groups.

Then the men went to work dismantling stalls, shanties, and loads of Waste deposited in bags and other forms of containers.

Some of the owners who didn’t obey the notice can be seen trying to move their goods.

Ministry of information and strategy with back up from the Rapid response squad had on Monday served three day notice to traders on the side of the road and illegal occupies of shanties on the median strip to vacate or face enforcement.

The Lagos State government says for an area used for trans border trade and traveling, it’s become an embarrassment and an eyesore for image of state and Nigeria at large.
