The Edo State Police Command has achieved a significant breakthrough in its efforts to combat kdn@pping, following the arr£st of a svspected h£rdsman-linked kdn@pper and the recovery of the b0dies of two abdvcted vict!ms in Isiukhu Community, Ovia North-East Local Government Area.
According to reports, the arr£sted svspect conf£ssed and led police operatives to sha||ow gr@ves where the b0dies of the mvrdered vict!ms had been concealed.
The vict!ms were reportedly k!lled by their abdvctors weeks after being kdn@pped a devastating outcome made even more painful by the revelation that their families had paid a ransom of ₦11 million in a desperate bid to secure their freedom.
Despite receiving the money, the kdn@ppers allegedly proceeded to m*rder the capt!ves regardless.
In a heartbreaking account, a surv!ving vict!m recounted her terrifying ordeal, disclosing that she and her mother were abdvcted on May 9, 2026.
She alleged that the kdn@ppers k!lled her mother and other capt!ves right before her eyes, leaving her deeply travm@tized by the horrific experience.
The police have since stepped up investigations into the kdn@pping synd!cate, with efforts ongoing to hunt down and arr£st the remaining members of the crim!nal g@ng and bring them to justice.
Residents have praised the security operatives for their swift action, while also calling on authorities to implement stronger measures to address the escalating threat of kdn@pping and vi0lent cr!mes across Edo State.
