“Even if they rescue those children, it won’t stop” – Man backs Tinubu, says insecurity is beyond government control

A Nigerian man has shared his opinion on the recurring insecurity situation in the country, expressing concern over what he describes as a repeated pattern of kidnappings and unrest across different administrations.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), he noted that even if kidnapped victims are rescued, similar incidents will likely continue unless deeper issues are addressed, comparing the situation to events recorded during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

“I’m not going to speak directly on the kidnapping of those children, but I’m noticing a pattern. Whether we like it or not, even if they rescue those children, there will still be another kidnap,” he stated.

The commentator further suggested that insecurity in Nigeria appears to be a long-standing issue, arguing that it persists regardless of who is in power.

He also referenced President Bola Tinubu’s earlier comments about alleged attempts to use insecurity to undermine his administration, stating that he partially agrees with that perspective.

“So when Tinubu said that they are trying to use insecurity to push him out, I agree with him somehow. That means there’s a certain person that is bigger than this country that is pushing all this,” he added.

His comments have sparked discussion online, with some Nigerians agreeing that insecurity has become systemic, while others dismissed his claims as conspiracy-based thinking.

The remarks add to ongoing national conversations about insecurity in Nigeria and the search for long-term solutions to recurring violent incidents.
