Governor Ododo Visits Iluke Community After School Attack

Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has visited Iluke Community in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area following the recent attack on a secondary school that left several people dead and raised fears of a mass abduction of students.

The governor visited the community to assess the security situation, sympathise with affected families, and reassure residents of the government’s commitment to protecting lives and property. During the visit, Ododo condemned the attack and vowed that those responsible would be brought to justice.

The attack occurred during a WAEC examination and resulted in the deaths of community members, including a school official. Security operatives, however, successfully repelled the attackers and prevented the mass abduction of students.

Addressing residents, the governor assured them that additional security measures would be deployed to safeguard schools and communities across the area. He also commended the military, police, vigilantes, and local hunters for their swift response during the incident.

Community leaders expressed appreciation for the governor’s visit and called for sustained security operations to prevent future attacks.

Ododo reiterated that Kogi State would not surrender to criminal elements and pledged continued support for the affected families and the Iluke Community.
