The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has once again used a major investment platform in Lagos to project Abia State to both local and international investors, calling on them to explore the growing opportunities in the state.
Speaking at the Invest Lagos 3.0 Opening Ceremony, Governor Otti urged investors to consider Abia as a destination for industrial growth, citing ongoing reforms aimed at improving infrastructure and the business environment.
He also revealed a recent conversation with an investor who expressed interest in relocating a fully built steel plant from another state due to persistent power challenges.
According to him, the investor is searching for a location with reliable 24-hour electricity supply, and he assured him of Abia’s readiness to welcome such investment.
The governor stated that he has already allocated about five hectares of land near Geometrics in Aba to accommodate the proposed relocation of the steel plant.
Governor Otti emphasized that Abia is being repositioned for industrial expansion, stability, and investor confidence, as he continues to present the state on the global investment stage
