She walked into her family compound and asked one of her sisters to call their mother outside.

Fay fell to her knees while still in her mother’s arms, and the two broke down in tears.
“Jesus! Ene, you are back! Why didn’t you tell me you were coming? Patience, why did you do this to me?” the emotional mother exclaimed as she held her daughter tightly.
The mother and daughter remained on their knees, shedding tears of joy as they celebrated their long-awaited reunion after years apart.

When her father returned home later that evening, Fay ran towards him and lay flat on the ground at his feet.
“Daddy, thank you. Here, I brought my degree home,” she said while lying on the ground and holding a red folder containing her certificates.
Her delighted father, visibly emotional, smiled as he held her hand and gently asked her to stand up.
“In case you are wondering why I am lying on the ground, well, this is my dad. The last time he saw me was eight years ago when he sent me to China to study. I was just 17 years old. This is a man who has always put everyone else before himself,” said Fay.

The grateful daughter explained that her father single-handedly sponsored four children to study abroad, giving them opportunities for a better future.
She added that her father had no idea she was travelling home and that she wanted to surprise him while expressing her heartfelt gratitude for everything he had done for her.
“I am not 17 years old anymore. I studied two courses in China, graduated, earned a degree, started a company, and now I am a CEO,” she said.
