Two serving Nigerian Army personnel have reportedly been killed in a suspected bandit attack along the Mowe/Ibafo axis of Obafemi-Owode LGA, Ogun State.
The gunmen reportedly launched a coordinated ambush in the early hours of Monday, opening fire on the soldiers and killing them on the spot.
The Nigerian Army has confirmed that an attack on its personnel occurred and says it is gathering full details of the incident. Meanwhile, the Ogun State Police Command says it has yet to receive an official report.
