TikTok personality Oladimeji Hammed, widely known as Immunizer, has been released after securing bail in a case linked to alleged cyberbullying.
The social media creator was recently arraigned on six counts bordering on cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and the dissemination of content considered harmful and provocative against Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Mohbad. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges brought against him.
In a video that has since circulated online, Immunizer announced that he had regained his freedom. According to him, he was forced to record the update using a friend’s phone because his personal device had been confiscated by the police and retained as evidence.
“So I just got out of prison tonight, Kirikiri, Lagos, and I am making this video from my guy’s phone because my phone was taken away from me by the police at the station. They marked it as an exhibit.”
The TikToker explained that he honoured a police invitation on June 22 following a petition submitted against him by an individual he described as a prominent figure connected to the Mohbad case.
Recounting the events, Immunizer said he was questioned by investigators, detained, and later taken before a court where he was granted bail without delay.
“As you all know, I honoured the police invitation on the 22nd of June, which was Monday. I got there, and they showed me a petition that a prominent name in the Mohbad case I talked about filed. As I saw the petition, I laughed. They interrogated me and detained me because they said they were taking me to court. They took me to court, the judge sat, and I was granted bail immediately.”
Despite the court’s decision, he revealed that complications during the bail process resulted in his remand at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
“But the person who was supposed to handle my bail got greedy, made some mistakes, and on Tuesday, I was remanded at Kirikiri prison. Wednesday, I was supposed to come out but then today, my bail was perfected, and I am out.”
Immunizer added that he would provide a more detailed account of his experience after taking some time to rest.
