Popular social commentator Geggeh has sparked widespread reactions online after sharing his views on Nigeria’s current political and economic situation.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Geggeh expressed frustration over what he described as the country’s continued decline despite years of public complaints and repeated promises of improvement by successive administrations.
According to him, many Nigerians continue to place hope in new governments only to experience worsening economic hardship, insecurity, and declining living standards.
Speaking in the video, he said: “If you support Tinubu, even to Tinubu, you are a disgrace. Tinubu himself will be very ashamed of you for supporting him. Nigeria is a very funny country.”
Geggeh also criticized what he described as a pattern of public outrage that often fades without meaningful action or accountability from those in power.
He argued that serious national issues frequently dominate public discussions for a short period before citizens return to their daily struggles while government officials move on from the controversy.
Continuing his remarks, he said: “In Nigeria, the government cannot protect you. You are on your own. Keep on hoping it will get better. When I was little, my parents used to be praying that Nigeria will get better. But everybody knows, say no. Nobody in this president.”
