Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has paid an emotional tribute to late actor Alex Ekubo, expressing sadness over his passing.
Emotional Message
In a video posted on his Instagram page, the veteran actor reflected on Alex Ekubo’s dedication to his craft and the impact he made in the film industry.
He said the late actor poured “so much passion, sacrifice and heart” into his work, describing him as young, talented, and full of promise.
“A Light Gone Too Soon”
Chiwetalu Agu expressed pain over the loss, noting that it hurts to see someone with so much potential go so soon.
He wrote:
“Rest in peace, Alex Ekubo. I am saddened by your passing. As a fellow actor, who has walked this part for many years, I know how much passion, sacrifice and heart you poured into your craft. You were young, talented and full of promise, and it hurts to see a light like yours go out so soon.”
“A Storyteller Lost”
He added that the film industry has not just lost an actor, but a storyteller who still had many roles left to bring to life.
“The stage and screen haven’t just lost an actor but a storyteller who still has many roles left to bring to life. Your presence, energy, and dedication will not be forgotten,” he said.
