“It is darker, evil and filled with hypocrisy” – Music producer, Eezee drops bombshell on the gospel music industry

Nigerian gospel music producer Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, better known as Eezee Tee, has stirred the internet with his bombshell revelation about the music industry.

In a post on his official Instagram page, he alleged that the gospel music industry is darker than what you think. He said the industry is clothed in hypocrisy, lies, denials, pretence, and deep religion.

Eezee said it is more performance-based than spirit-led and is driven more by emotion than spirituality. According to him, most of the gospel folks who criticise the secular industry know this for a fact.

The music producer added that he has been there for a while and has been privileged to engage with both industries, and people don’t know the evil that goes on in the gospel industry.

“The Gospel Music Industry is darker than what you think.

It is clothed in hypocrisy, lies, denials, pretence, and deep religion, so folks rarely see through it.

It is more performance-based than spirit-led. Driven more by emotions than spirituality.

Most of the gospel folks who criticise the secular industry know this for a fact.

I have been here for a while and have been privileged to engage with both industries, and trust me, you have no idea the evil that goes on in the Gospel Industry.

Once you stand against evil, you’re hated and become a target.

May Jesus help us”.

His statement is coming less than a year after his highly publicised dispute with his former label signee, Mercy Chinwo.

Last year, Eezee had accused Mercy Chinwo of manipulating institutions to bully him despite the $625,000 she had received from his record label. He accused Mercy of weaponizing law enforcement and religious organizations in a bid to take over a catalogue she didn’t spend money on and yet, had received huge money from.

Speaking out, Mercy Chinwo, in a press release, recalled her journey with the music producer, saying he became hostile and kept referring to the contract. Chinwo stated that by the fourth year, the relationship became toxīc as she was enduring untold verbal and emotional assaults. She added that Eezee would intimidate, isolate, and bully her, and mislead people by inviting her to events about her availability.

In 2022, Mercy Chinwo broke ties with her music record label, Eezee Concepts, over a disagreement between her and her Boss, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu Thankgod. The gospel musician had shared a cryptic message, begging God to protect her from dishonest people.

Mercy Chinwo, her music record label, and her music record label boss had also unfollowed each other on Instagram further fueling breakup rumors.

Following the split with her label, Mercy Chinwo and her label mate, Minister GUC had unfollowed each other on Instagram. GUC had posted a shady post about ungrateful people, which many believe was aimed at Mercy Chinwo.

Veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo had shaded Mercy Chinwo for biting the fingers that fed her. Hilda stated that one might think they know someone fully well until they allow them to earn power, fame, and fortune.
