Faith Jermy revealed in a TikTok video that she challenged her pupils to come up with one question they would ask God if they could receive a direct answer.

To her surprise, she received an overwhelming number of thoughtful, funny and deeply curious responses.

The questions touched on a wide range of topics, including the country’s political environment, family relationships, faith and everyday life.

Faith later shared some of the responses on TikTok and posed the same question to her followers. Many social media users were both entertained and moved by the children’s innocent yet thought-provoking questions.

What questions did the pupils ask God?

One child asked God why octopuses have three hearts while human beings only have one.

Another wondered why there are maandamano protests in the country every year, while a classmate asked why Faith was not the president.

“How was God made?” “If your son is Jesus, who are your father and mother?” and “How do you perform your miracles?” were among the questions posed by the curious learners.

One pupil, who appeared to still be grieving the loss of a grandmother, asked God to bring her back. Another questioned why human beings do not have nine lives like cats and even asked God to fix that “error” immediately.
