She was trying to stop vehicles and motorists to sell her produce, but she seemed unsuccessful as no one stopped for her.
“She sells potatoes. She had only two tins of Irish potatoes, each selling for KSh 300. She also had a few cabbages.
By the roadside was her seven-year-old daughter. I asked her how much she had sold that day, and she said nothing. I asked why her child was not in school, and she said the girl’s father used to pay school fees at a private school, but he left them for another woman, so she now has to look for school fees on her own,” part of his post read.
Vidambu admitted that he was moved with compassion for the hardworking mother who was doing everything in her power to raise money for her daughter.

“I had compassion for her. I asked her how much the school fees were. I gave her KSh 20,000 from my pocket and told her to go and pay her daughter’s school fees. I also gave her my number and told her to contact me whenever she needs help.
‘Thank you’ from strangers brings more blessings than ‘thank you’ from relatives. I like helping because I know where God has brought me from. I give because I was once given to,” he added.
The academic strategist shared a photo with the woman, who was bent over attending to him as she sorted the vegetables she was selling.

Stacy O’Rollins:
“Bless you! Those saying ‘keep your camera at home,’ please keep your thoughts to yourselves. Because through this, someone somewhere will be touched to buy all the cabbages next time without even bargaining!”
