Kwankwaso Debunks Viral Protest Rumour, Disowns Social Media Message

A former Governor of Kano State and NDC Vice Presidential Candidate, Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has dismissed a viral social media message alleging that he and his political associates are planning a protest over rising insecurity in the country.

In a press statement, Kwankwaso described the message as false and urged members of the public to disregard it, stressing that it did not originate from him or his party.

He stated that neither he nor the NDC supports any action capable of disrupting public order or leading to the destruction of lives and property.

According to him, the party remains committed to peaceful and constructive engagement in addressing Nigeria’s national challenges.

Kwankwaso emphasized that as committed democrats, they believe the ballot box remains the most legitimate avenue for citizens to express grievances and seek political change.

He expressed confidence that the NDC would secure victory in the upcoming elections through what he described as peaceful democratic means.

The former governor also advised the public to ignore individuals spreading disinformation aimed at causing confusion or tension within the political space.
